SLFI links up with NILET as a Franchise to further Language Teaching

Language teaching is  considered most important  a subject as it lays a firm foundation for education.  Language is about understanding, communicating, entertaining, conversing and staying connected with the outer world. Language also consolidates bonds, mixes and blends cultures, stimulates friendships, encourages ethnic harmony.
Therefore knowing a language other than one's mother tongue is  very important for people in the  countries like Sri Lanka to better associate with other communities who speak different languages to lessen social gaps that have been created due to language barriers.

"Language  consolidates bonds,
mixes and blends cultures, stimulates friendship,
encourages ethnic harmony."

Furthering scopes of language studies at the Sri Lanka Foundation institute  and upholding the language policy of the country,, SLFI recently registered  with the National Institute of  Language Education and Training (NILET)  of the Ministry of Public Administration Home Affairs  Provincial Councils and Local Governments as a Franchise Institution to offer language courses recommended by the NILET.

SLFI offers training on  second language proficiency and link language proficiency throughout the year.
