The first meeting of the new Board of Studies (BoS) SLFI was held on 23rd
June 2020 at the Sri Lanka Foundation
Institute with the participation of members of the BoS and Director Academic &
SLFI Academic Team.
The BoS comprises four eminent academics and education
practitioners namely Professor Shirantha
Heenkenda, Dean Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri
Jayawardenepura (Chairman), Ms Dileepa Endagamage Wedage, Faculty of Management
Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayawardenepura (member), Mr Chrishan
Pereira, Deputy Project Director, YOULEAD (member) and Dr Prasad Jayasuriya, Director Tourism
Planning & Development, Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (member). A great emphasis of the BoS will be placed on
streamlining the academic prerequisites to obtain
degree awarding status for SLFI in 2020.
