Colombo Film School is the newest
undertaking of the SLFI which emerges as a new addition to the SLFI education
facility 2021. Amongst its lucrative
packages of art, Film Lab is being a prominent film component, which comprises
of Master Classes conducted by veteran filmmakers. As a matter of tradition, the Colombo Film
School started its maiden presentation with a Master Screening on 22nd
of January 2021, signifying four landmark films
directed by four reputed Film Directors
of the country.
The Master Screening of the Colombo Film School - Film Lab was thus launched, in the presence of a distinguished gathering of film professionals and film enthusiasts. Chairperson of Sri Lanka Foundation Senior Attorney at Law Mrs Champika Amarasekara popular Film Directors Boodi Keerthisena, Vimukthi Jayasundara, Jude Ratnam and Chinthana Dharmadasa whose films were screened at the festival (Mille Soya, Dark in the White Light, Demons in Paradise, How I Wonder What You Are) graced the occasion. The four directors are to hold their Mater-classes shortly at the Colombo Film School. Dr R M Vijeratne, Director Academic SLFI, Mrs Thushani Bulumulle Assistant Director SLFI, popular Film Director Mr Sudath Mahadivulvewa who is also the Head of the Colombo Film School and master of the scene, Academics of SLFI and past students attended the occasion.
