Applications are being called for New Courses

Applications are being called for new online and classroom based courses which will begin soon, adhering to the concerns of the  New Normal.  

Certificate in Computerised Accounting

The online course is of 30 hours (10 days) duration. Applicants can register for the course by making the registration fee  and receive their certificates after successful completion of the course making a payment of Rs.8700//-. Those who are attached to the field or hope to join the field and owners of small businesses who look forward to managing  own finances may apply for the course. 

    

    

Two Day Workshop for Public Sector Employees  on How to become a Productive Employee in the New Normal

Corona pandemic having affected the country's economy to a substantial extent,  all the citizens of the country have a responsibility to contribute to the  revival of it. However the  onus is on the  state sector to take the lead in the new normal.  

The workshop will be conducted by qualified Academics and Professionals in the field and   held at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute. 

The Board of Studies SLFI

The first meeting of the  new Board of Studies (BoS) SLFI was held on 23^rd June  2020 at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute with the participation of  members of the BoS and Director Academic & SLFI Academic Team.

The  BoS comprises  four eminent academics and education practitioners namely  Professor Shirantha Heenkenda, Dean Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayawardenepura (Chairman), Ms Dileepa Endagamage Wedage, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayawardenepura (member), Mr Chrishan Pereira, Deputy Project Director, YOULEAD (member) and  Dr Prasad Jayasuriya, Director Tourism Planning & Development, Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (member).  A great emphasis of the BoS will be placed on streamlining the academic prerequisites  to obtain  degree awarding status for SLFI in 2020.

වැඩිහිටි රැකවරණය අත් පොත (A Guide to Aged Care)

ලෝකයේ මෙන්ම ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේද ඉහළ යමින් පවතින වැඩිහිටි ජනගහණය වෙත විශේෂ අවදානයක් යොමු විය යුතු අතර එම අත්‍යාවශ්‍යතාව සලකා බලා ශ්‍රී ලංකා පදනම් ආයතනය විසින් වැඩිහිටි රැකවරණය  (A Guide to Aged Care) අධ්‍යාපන ග්‍රන්ථය මුද්‍රණය කර ඇත.

වැඩිහිටි රැකවරණය සඳහා වෘත්තීය මාර්ගෝපදේශනයක් වන මෙම ග්‍රන්ථයේ, වැඩිහිටි රැකවරණයේ මූලධර්ම, වැඩහිටි මානසික හා කායික සෞඛ්‍ය රැකගැනීමේ ක්‍රම වේද මෙන්ම, සමාජීය සමතුලිතතාව පවත්වා ගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය න්‍යායාත්මක හා ප්‍රායෝගික තොරතුරු අඩංගුවේ.

සමාජ සේවකයන්,  සාත්තු සේවකයන්, හෙද වෘත්තිකයන් වැඩිහිටි උපස්ථායකයන්, හෙද වෘත්තිකයන්, විදේශ රැකියා අපේක්ෂකයන් හා වැඩහිටි රැකවරණය පිළිබඳ උනන්දුවක් දක්වන්නන් සඳහා මෙය විශේෂයෙන් නිර්දේශිතය.

Staff contribution of the Sri Lanka Foundation  to the COVID-19 Fund was handed over to His Excellency the President Gotabhaya Rajapakshe on 27th May 2020 by the Chairperson of Sri Lanka Foundation  Attorney at Law  Mrs Champika Amarasekara.
